Jamie is 7

Jamie, my grandson, is seven and growing up fast.  He's changing in a thousand different ways each day and each week and being in lockdown (again) it's hard to capture all the changes.  Despite the virus in the last year we've had some grand adventures and I hope we will have many, many more, especially our holidays abroad together which were cancelled this year.

Seven.  I can't believe the tiny baby you were is now a seven year old boy.  You've grown tall, obviously you take after your Daddy and not me, you've grown strong and you're growing into a funny, charming, chatty boy.  You're working hard at home schooling (this year's term at school was the shortest ever - one day!) and I can't ask for anything more than for you to try hard and listen to your teachers, via the internet, and your Mummy.

We've got so many hopes and dreams for you this year.  Work hard and carry on reading, especially Harry Potter, and learn to love books as I do.

Jamie requested a lemon drizzle Harry Potter cake for his birthday.  Well done Mummy.  Wish I could enjoy a slice.

We've done such fun things while you were six.

Beaulieu Motor Museum - January

Trip to Brownsea Island - August
The Isle of Wight - August
Your local beach - September
Crabbing - we caught so many!!
Kingston Lacy - October

Sadly we had to watch you open your Christmas presents via the internet but it was still fun.

Keep having brilliant times, making brilliant memories and keep being brilliant.  I want you to be happy, I want you to love life and everything about it.  Enjoy being seven Jamie, it's a great age to be and I hope, after I have had my vaccine, you'll let me join you on a few of your adventures this year.
Jamie's birthday present from us.  A remote control car.

Off to boogie now with you and your cousins  at your online Zoom disco.  Get the disco lights ready!

Happy birthday Jamie.

  1. You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers like you who aren't afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart.safety decking systems
