Spectacular Bournemouth Air Show

The Bournemouth Air Show, between Boscombe and Bournemouth piers, is an amazing free annual August event and once again it rates a 5* from this family.

We got there early to build a grandstand view.  Well done boys!!!!

Bournemouth seems to have the ability to excel with a FREE full four days and nights attractions for the whole family - weather permitting, of course.  Love the place.

Emmie getting ready for the Red Arrows.....

The Red Arrows are probably the biggest draw with four days of display.  Unfortunately, the first day (Thursday) was poor weather for flying this year.  We went on Friday and Saturday which were beautiful days.

You will notice there are only 8 Red Arrows.  RAFRed4 returned early with undercarriage retraction issues.

and warm enough to also watch from the sea.....

There were 14 displays altogether, including the very last one by the fantastic Vulcan bomber.

The displays included jets, parachutists, helicopters (Jamie's favourite - copters)

and a marine display landing on the beach.

Talking of the beach there were thousands enjoying the show sitting on the beach.

Put this date in next year's diary for a fabulous day(s) out.

Thursday, 18th August to Sunday, 21st August, 2016.

Just be prepared to work your way very slowly through hoards of people, get there very early and pack lots of water and suncream,   if the weather is hot.  Oh and keep calm in the nightmare traffic jams.  Did not see any police to assist.  Bedlam trying to get to the show and home.  Arrive very early and stay late or perhaps book a hotel now.

Three decent aviators......and a bloke in orange.
