A lovely Chinese meal at Chef Peking

Then on 7th April it was Tricia's 80th birthday at Milton's Restaurant in Wokingham.  A converted old barn.

Happy Birthday Tricia

Sadly Tricia died on 21st October, 2012.

More bubbles on 15th April when Doug celebrated his 40th birthday at a 14th century Oxfordshire Barn.

Lovely cake in the shape of Formula One or is it Formula 40!

Lots of bubbles

Me
An excellent day.

Phil then celebrated his 60th birthday with a bbq party on the Saturday, 19th May.
The tiramirsu cake.

The family in the garden.  So lucky with the weather.

Phil actually had to go to work on his birthday 20th May but the granddaughters made sure he was up early to celebrate before he left.

Many happy returns Grandad. xx

Then on 14th August I was 60!

I celebrated with a party at Milton's Restaurant in Wokingham.  A converted old barn.  Lovely day.
Thanks everyone.  Delicious cake.

On Saturday, 20th October Rebeccah and David organised a Surprise Party for their father

Holiday Travel with my granddaughter

Travelling with my darling granddaughter Chloe was especially memorable.  Here's a little peek of a very special holiday with my daughter Caroline, her husband Mike and my granddaughter Chloe.

We went to our HPB property at La Reserva de Biniorella.  Biniorella is perched on a beautiful hill-top overlooking the 'cala' - the small bay of Camp de Mar in Majorca's southwest corner.

View from our balcony with Grandad in the pool.

Chloe wasn't sure the temp. in the outdoor pool was warm enough so we tried the indoor pool first
but she was soon swimming outside with Grandad.
The weather was stunning for the whole of our stay.

One day we visited Soller which is a charming town and port.  The port is best visited by the tram, which rattles through people's backgardens and orchids, from the town down to the port.

After the exciting ride Chloe was ready for lunch.
Another day we visited Andraitx, on the other side of the hill.  This is a quaint natural port with lovely restaurants.
A wonderful holiday.  My dream is that every time I go on holiday, my grandchildren will pop out from my luggage.

Giggles, Laughs, Balloons and Cake

My darling Granddaughter, Emmeline, was one on 4th May, 2012 and she had her first birthday party with family and close friends, today, Sunday, 6th May.

We spent a wonderful hour or two preparing for the party.
Mummy (Gemma) baked a declicious cake in the shape of a one with a darling pink inside and polka dots outside, which was the theme of the party.
Sweet treats
I love being a nanna.  When your grandchildren are born, suddenly you find there is another parson in your life that you feel all consuming, tremendous love for.  Emmie is the sweetest, happiest child.

For a special birthday treat Emmie went to Marwell.
                                              Can you see Emmie?
I have really enjoyed this first year watching her grow and develop.  Looking forward to the next year and beyond.
