Stuart's 70th birthday

What a wonderful time we had!

We watched Emmie perform in a show - Musical Theatre - at Bournemouth Girls Grammar which was very good.

We then visited the Captain's Club in Christchurch for afternoon tea.  The service was amazing from the minute we stepped into the building.

We were lucky enough to be offered a table on the terrace, with shade, for drinks, with a beautiful view of the river.

And is there anything better than sipping Champagne and then enjoying afternoon tea.

Thank you, especially to Harry, you made our visit very memorable and the food was fabulous.

Great setting, Great staff and even the sun shone.

The perfect choice to celebrate Stuart's milestone birthday.

Happy Birthday Stuart.

Geoff is 92

Celebrating Geoff's 92nd birthday - a long life filled with wisdom and experiences.

Love this poem that Geoff recited:-

The horse and mule live 30 years

And nothing know of wines and beers

The goat and sheep at 20 die

With never a taste of scotch or rye

The cow drinks water by the ton

And at 18 is mostly done

The dog at 16 cashes in

Without the aid of rum or gin.

The cat in milk and water soaks

And then in 12 short years it croaks

The modest, sober bone dry hen

Lays eggs for nogs then dies at ten

All animals are strictly dry -

They sinless live and swiftly die

But sinful, ginful, rumsoaked men

Survive for three score years and ten

And some of us though mighty few

Stay pickled 'til we're 92

- Tom Quilty -

Happy Birthday Geoff.

Trip to Broadstairs

The Aqua Babes headed to Broadstairs to see Sheila, who has moved there.

It was a beautiful day and we walked along the beach for lunch at The Tartar Frigate on the seafront.

A wonderful relaxed atmosphere and the staff were friendly and accommodating.  For some of us the visit would not have been complete without a visit to Sheila's new home for some of her delicious homemade Lemon Drizzle Cake.  The rest of our group, who couldn't tackle the hill, enjoyed a Mr.Whippy ice cream (or 2) in the sunshine with a lovely view.

Didn't we have a lovely day the day we went to Broadstairs!
